Industrial strategy - progress update on the government and industry partnership

The Department for Business, Innovation & Skills published the industrial strategy progress report, which highlights the achievements, latest activities and future priorities of industrial strategy.
The document supports the government’s industrial strategy. They explore areas where government action can have a real and early impact, including:
· developing strategic partnerships with industry
· supporting emerging technologies
· improving access to finance for businesses
· working with business to help develop skills that businesses will need
· publishing government contracts to provide confidence to business investment
The industrial strategy aims to create an environment in which entrepreneurs find it easy to start and grow a business, and to pursue demand-management policies which stimulate growth and maintain financial stability.
